1. XTO OFFSHORE® — V8 5.6L Series
The XTO Offshore® is Yamaha’s most advanced and powerful outboard family, purpose-built for extreme offshore conditions. It was the world’s first production outboard to use direct fuel injection, and features an integrated all-electric steering system — also an industry first. Compatible with Helm Master® EX for full joystick control of up to 5 engines, autopilot, SetPoint®, and FishPoint®.
F450 XTO Offshore
Yamaha’s most powerful 4-stroke outboard. The 450 delivers 25 more horses than its predecessor with an upgraded intake silencer for noticeably quieter operation, smoother shifting, and a revolutionary Phase Angle Control (PAC) charging system producing up to 96 net amps per engine at idle — enough to run gyro stabilizers, A/C, and sound systems without a generator.

F425 XTO Offshore
The original XTO model and still available. Same 5.6L DOHC V8 with direct injection, and the engine that started it all. Delivers 300% more reverse thrust than previous V6 models via the Thrust Enhancing Reverse Exhaust (TERE) system.

2. V6 Offshore Series — 4.2L & 4.3L
Yamaha’s V6 Offshore family covers 225–350 hp. All models use sleeveless, plasma-fused cylinder technology (cylinder walls 60% harder than steel), Variable Camshaft Timing (VCT), and Precision Multi-Point EFI. Higher variants include built-in Digital Electric Steering (DES) compatible with Helm Master® EX. The Thrust Enhancing Reverse Exhaust (TERE) system ensures exceptional reverse thrust and docking control.
F350 — 4.3L V6 Offshore (All-New 2024)
The most exciting new Yamaha outboard in years. Built on a new 4.3L platform with a longer-stroke crankshaft, larger intake and exhaust valves, an 81mm electronic throttle valve (8% larger than F300), and iridium spark plugs. At just 629 lbs, it has the best power-to-weight ratio in its class — by more than 65 lbs over competition. Available in Yamaha Gray, Pearlescent White, and Classic White.

3. V MAX SHO® Series — In-Line 4
The V MAX SHO® (Superior Hyper Output) line is Yamaha’s performance-focused fishing series. Up to 40% more fuel efficient than carbureted two-strokes, every model features Precision Multi-Point EFI, a long-track intake system, free-flow exhaust, and a knock sensor. All are now available with 25″ shaft options. Redesigned for 2024 with a V6 V MAX SHO®-inspired cowling.
VF175 — I-4 V MAX SHO®
Clocked at 62 mph in Yamaha testing with a tournament load. Features Variable Camshaft Timing (VCT) and delivers the fastest hole-shot in its class.
VF150 — I-4 V MAX SHO®

VF115 — I-4 V MAX SHO®
Yamaha’s fastest 115-hp four-stroke ever — nearly 51 mph in testing. Features long-track intake, free-flow exhaust, and knock sensor — tech previously unheard of at this horsepower.

4. In-Line 4 (I-4) Series — 200–150 HP (2.8L)
Powerful, light, nimble, and compact — Yamaha’s I-4 series is unmatched for versatility across pontoons, flats boats, and deep-V hulls. The 26-inch mounting centers match previous two-stroke bolt patterns, making them ideal for repowers. All models feature user-adjustable trolling speed in 50-RPM increments, a Freshwater Flush Device, Shift Dampener System, and are now available in pearlescent white (digital models). Compatible with both digital and mechanical controls.

5. Midrange Series — 115–75 HP (1.8L)
Fast, light, and powerful — perfect for deck boats, multispecies boats, aluminum boats, and pontoons. All three have stepped up to 1.8-liter displacement. The F90 and F75 shed 13 lbs each with a new SOHC design while boosting torque and acceleration. Composite Intake Manifold with long-tube intake tracks increases low-end and midrange torque. Compatible with Yamaha’s Multi-Function Tiller Handle (engine start/stop, gear shift, power trim, variable trolling, and warnings in one unit).

6. Midrange Series — 40–30 HP (747cc)
Compact and powerful engines for skiffs, jon boats, inflatables, small pontoons, and aluminum fishing boats. The F40 features a single throttle valve, long-track intake manifold, and ECM for easy starts and fast acceleration. Both are available in propeller and jet-pump configurations.

7. Portable Series — 25–15 HP
Yamaha’s portable series is legendary for class-leading power-to-weight ratios. The F25 remains the lightest 25-hp outboard on the water — two-stroke or four-stroke — and is available in matte brown for stealth hunting and fishing. The F25 features battery-less EFI with automatic decompression for effortless pull starts. All three models use an SOHC 2-cylinder design with 2 valves per cylinder. Siren 3 Boat Monitoring is available on all portables.

The smallest and most portable members of the Yamaha 4-stroke family.
